Classwork: Share out interesting facts/discoveries about early astronomers. Powerpoint discussion of the early astronomers and their contribution to society. Began working on research projects!
Homework: Continue to gather research--email me any pictures you need printed out for your project!
August 27th
First full day of class! We discussed why we would study astronomy, the difference between Astrology and Astronomy, and created a brief timeline of Astronomy events (due at the end of class).
Homework: Research the 6 early astronomers (Aristotle, Ptolemy, Copernicus, Galilei, Keppler, and Newton). Create a brief summary of each of them and write a magazine article.
